Description
This PASCO PASPort High-Resolution Force Sensor PS-2189 is designed to make very high-resolution measurements of pulling and pushing forces. It has the same case as the regular PASCO Force Sensor PS-2104, and can perform all of the same experiments but with much higher resolution. It has a variable over-sampling rate that reduces measurement noise at lower sampling rates.
The digital design of the High-Resolution Force Sensor results in very little drift, ensuring that the tare will hold for hours. This force sensor can be used as a pan balance for long term experiments, like investigating the evaporation of liquids such as alcohol or liquid nitrogen, and the sublimation of dry ice!
NOTE: It is recommended that you purchase a PASPort compatible interface in order to retrieve readings from the sensor.
NOTE: The Wireless Force Acceleration Sensor has similar functionality (but lower resolution), plus it boasts a 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyro as well. Best of all, it connects directly* to your computers, tablets, smartphones and Chromebooks without the need for an interface and with no cables to get in the way.
*Devices without native Bluetooth® Smart connectivity will require a USB adapter.
