Description
The IEC DC Amplifier for the old 'Franck Hertz' Apparatus amplifies small currents for visibility on a student bench meter.
While the updated 'Franck Hertz' unit includes a built-in amplifier, this device now functions as a "microamp to milliamp amplifier." It operates without an on/off switch, drawing power only during use.
Powered by an internal 9V #216 dry cell, it is suitable for general high-gain amplification. With a gain of nearly 1000:1, it converts microamp currents to milliamps when input voltage exceeds 0.6V.
