Description
The IEC Search Coil is designed to measure magnetic field strengths and flux densities between electromagnet poles. It can connect to an oscilloscope to measure induced voltages or use AC/DC currents to study effects.
Each small coil contains 5000 turns of fine wire wound onto a circuit board strip for strength, with connections routed to 4mm sockets at the opposite end.
The Axial Coil has its axis aligned with the strip, while the Lateral Coil lies flat on the strip.
