Description
The IEC Current Balance Kit attaches easily to the IEC Air Cored Solenoid (EM0090-001). It includes a platform that secures to the solenoid's end cheek and a slim blade with a single-turn conductor, balanced on sensitive pivots.
The blade deflects due to magnetic field interaction when current flows through the solenoid and the conductor. Adding weights to restore balance measures the force on a current-carrying conductor within a magnetic field—a fundamental principle behind electric motor operation.
