Description
This mains-powered 240V AC Geiger Counter features a remote GM tube in a holder, connected via a standard BNC plug. Designed for classroom use, it has a sloped front panel and a large red LED display for easy viewing. Portable models and versions with built-in tubes are also available.
The highly sensitive 'thin mica window' tube detects Gamma, Beta, and high-energy Alpha particles. The tube voltage is adjustable up to 600V, and an integrated loudspeaker with volume control allows audible detection of counts. This Geiger Counter can be set for continuous counts, preset time counts, or rate display in counts per second.
