Description
The Precision Waveform Generator/Voltage-Controlled Oscillator is an integrated circuit. It produces accurate sine, square, triangular, sawtooth, and pulse waveforms with minimal external components. Its frequency can be externally selected from 0.001Hz to over 300kHz using resistors or capacitors, andrequency modulation and sweeping can be achieved with an external voltage.
The ICL8038 utilizes advanced monolithic technology, including Schottky barrier diodes and thin film resistors. Thus ensuring stable output across temperature and supply variations. These devices can be integrated with phase-locked loop circuitry to reduce temperature drift to less than 250ppm/°C.
