Kitronik Edge Connector Breakout Board for BBC Micro:bit Pre-built

This is the pre-built version of the Kitronik Edge Connector Breakout Board for BBC Micro:bit. This breakout board offers the option to easily connect additional circuits and hardware to the pins on the edge of the BBC micro:bit. You can get access to all of the BBC micro:bit processor pins allowing you to add a lot of extra functionality.  It breaks out 21 pins from the edge of the BBC micro:bit; providing additional I/O lines, direct access to buttons A and B, the LED matrix outputs, and the I2C bus. (See the Datasheet in the "Resources" section for a helpful diagram).

The pins on the BBC micro:bit are broken out into a row of pin headers. These allow for the simple connection of circuits via jumper wires. A prototyping area with 3V, 0V, and unconnected rows that can be soldered to is included on the PCB. This enables the simple connection of switches, sensors, and any pull-up or pull-down resistors, as required.

Note:

• This product has Straight Double Row PCB Pin Headers already soldered to the breakout board.
• This product is also available as a kit.

• Accessing additional pins and functionality on the BBC micro:bit.
• Trying out one of the experiments detailed in the Inventors kit for BBC micro:bit.
