Description
The 74154 IC is a monolithic-chip 4-Line to 16-Line Decoders/Demultiplexers enclosed in a 24-lead DIP package, using TTL circuitry. It decodes four binary-coded inputs and directs them to one of sixteen exclusive outputs, provided both strobe inputs, G1 and G2, are in a low state.
To perform the demultiplexing task, it utilizes the 4 input lines to designate the output line. Thus transmitting data from one of the strobe inputs while ensuring the other strobe input is low.
If either strobe input is set to a high state, all outputs become high. This device is exceptionally well-suited for achieving high-performance memory decoding applications.
