Description
The 74HCT40103 is an 8-bit synchronous down counter with a single output that is active when the internal count is zero. It is a high-speed SI-gate CMOS device and is pin compatible with the “40103” of the “4000B” series. This device is specified in compliance with JEDEC standard no. 7A.
The "40103" has a single 8-bit binary counter and control inputs for enabling or disabling the clock (CP), clearing the counter to its maximum count, and presetting the counter either synchronously or asynchronously. All control inputs and the terminal count output (TC) use active-LOW logic.
