Description
The 74HC14 is a Schmitt-trigger input hex inverter. This device has lower input threshold levels for interfacing with TTL logic levels. Clamp diodes are also included in the inputs, allowing the use of current-limiting resistors to interface inputs to voltages greater than VCC.
Schmitt trigger inputs convert jitter-free, slowly changing input signals into sharply defined output signals.
