Description
The IC 4541 Programmable Oscillator Timer consists of a 16-stage binary counter, output control circuitry, and a unique power-on reset circuit. The power-on reset circuit has two unique characteristics: first, there is no additional static power consumption. Second, the part operates across the entire voltage range (3V-15V) whether the power-on reset is enabled or disabled.
The IC 4541 Programmable Oscillator Timer functions as a monostable timer. A monostable timer is a timer that, when activated, sets an output high for a given period of time. It then stops and waits to be ordered to start again.
