Description

The IC 4532 8 Input Priority Encoder uses combinational logic to encode the highest priority input (D7 – D0) into a 3-bit binary code. The inputs D7 through D0 are each assigned a priority, with D7 being the highest and D0 the lowest.

The IC always produces TTL output, facilitating seamless integration with other TTL devices and microcontrollers. It is conveniently supplied in 16-lead outline packages.

Features

  • Converts from 1 of 8 to binary
  • Provides cascading feature to handle any number of inputs
  • Group select indicates one or more priority inputs
  • Standardized, symmetrical output characteristics
  • 100% Tested for quiescent current at 20V
  • Maximum input current of 1µA at 18V
