Description
The IC 4049 is a CMOS Hex Inverting Buffer/Converter that consists of six NOT gates in a single package. Featuring a maximum input voltage supply range of 3v - 15v and a maximum current rating of 1mA at 18 volts.
It is designed mainly for use with CMOS TTL or DTL converters. It can also drive two transistor-transistor logic or diode-transistor logic loads.
The primary function of inverter IC 4049 is to convert high-level logic to low-level logic and low-level logic to high-level logic.
This inverter IC's operating temperature ranges from -40°C to 80°C. You can use it to create a pulse generator or a square wave oscillator generator circuit. These ICs are useful in maximum voltage applications since they have a wide operating voltage range ranging from 3V – 18V.
