Description

Demonstrate the principles of heat transfer clearly and safely with these Thermal Conductivity Bars, designed for use with a beaker and hot water only—no open flame required. The set features four common metals: Copper, Brass, Aluminium, and Steel, making it ideal for comparing thermal conductivity in an educational or laboratory setting.

Instructions:

Each bar measures 200 x 50 x 6 mm and includes a visual indicator system that provides an effective, easy-to-observe display. Simply fill a beaker with hot water (60 °C or higher), immerse the exposed end of the bars, and observe the colour change along each metal. As heat travels through the material, the 1 cm blackish squares gradually become more transparent or brighter, clearly showing differences in conductivity between metals.

Warning: This apparatus is perfect for classroom demonstrations, physics lessons, and lab experiments, offering a safe and engaging way to visualize thermal conductivity. Always take proper precautions when handling hot water.
