Description

This MQ-2 gas sensor is highly sensitive to LPG, propane, methane & hydrogen. It is also sensitive to other combustible gases and smoke.

The resistance of the MQ-2 gas sensor is different for various kinds and concentrations of gases. When using this sensor it is crucial to calibrate the detector. The recommended calibration setting is 1000ppm LPG or 1000ppm iso-butane concentration in the air with a load resistance (RL) of about 20Kohm (5Kohm to 47Kohm). The alarm point for the gas detector should be determined after considering the temperature and humidity conditions.

Note: This sensor becomes very hot after a while; exercise caution when handling the sensor.
