Description

The Raspberry Pi 5 model is the most recent addition to the Raspberry Pi lineup, with significant improvements over the previous model. It's has a faster 2.4GHz Broadcom BCM2712 ARM Cortex-A76 CPU and VideoCore VII GPU supporting OpenGL ES 3.1 and Vulkan 1.2.

The camera, display, and USB interface capabilities have all been significantly enhanced. Furthermore, its power-management IC includes a real-time clock and charging circuitry for a button cell. Thus ensuring clock performance even when unplugged from main power. The Raspberry Pi 5 offers enhanced interfacing thanks to the RP1 I/O controller chip. It includes two four-lane MIPI connectors that can handle a camera or display.

This flagship product features Raspberry Pi silicon for the first time. This provides versatility and power for a diverse variety of applications. These include DIY projects, educational tools, media centers, servers, desktop computers, and different IoT applications.

Note: The Raspberry Pi 5 does not have a pre-installed operating system. However, getting started is easy using the Raspberry Pi Imager and a microSD card. The Raspberry Pi Imager allows you to select the preferred operating system available for your Raspberry Pi. You can find links to the Raspberry Pi Imager in the Resources section below.
