The HDMI over IP Receiver with PoE, IR, and RS232 is a versatile device that allows you to receive and decode HDMI signals over a local area network (LAN). This receiver works in conjunction with a HDMI over IP Transmitter. It enables the extension of audio and video signals across a network.

By converting the HDMI signal into an H.264 encoded stream, this transmitter enables you to transmit high-definition video (up to 1080p @ 60Hz) over Cat5e/6 cables using Internet Protocol (IP). This method offers the advantage of minimizing network load while maintaining excellent signal quality. It allows you to extend the reach of HDMI signals up to 120 metres. Thus making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Additionally, the device supports Wi-Fi streaming for added convenience. With Power over Ethernet (PoE), IR, and RS232 support, it provides a versatile solution for extending HDMI signals in various professional and entertainment setups.

These transmitters and receivers are extremely flexible, allowing for a wide range of system configurations such as one-to-one, one-to-many, many-to-one, and many-to-many modes. There can be up to 64 transmitters and a total of 256 transmitters and receivers per system. With support for IGMP and DHCP automated addressing, each device in the system can be addressed separately.

A key feature of the transmitters and receivers is the inclusion of PoE (Power over Ethernet) support (802.3af). It enables them to be powered directly from a PoE-equipped switch. This eliminates the need for individual plug packs. Additionally, PoE enables an infrared signal path back to the source equipment, enabling remote control at the receiver location. These units are ideal for multi-source and multi-screen environments such as clubs, pubs, convention centers, venues, and similar settings. Requires CR2025 battery.
