Programmable Unijunction Transistors PUTs

Photo of a TO-92 package.

Programmable Unijunction Transistors (PUTs). They are three-terminal thyristors that conduct when the voltage at the anode exceeds the voltage at the gate.

Applications include thyristor triggers, oscillators, pulse, and timing circuits with frequencies up to 10 kHz.
