Description

The DS2401 enhanced Silicon Serial Number offers a cost-effective solution for electronic registration, providing a unique identity through a 64-bit ROM. It includes a distinctive 48-bit serial number, an 8-bit CRC, and an 8-bit Family Code (01h). Utilizing the 1-Wire protocol, data transfer requires only a single data lead and ground return.

With power derived from the data line itself, no external power source is needed for reading and writing. This upgrade to the DS2400 allows for multi-drop capability. Thus enabling multiple devices on a single data line while maintaining full reverse compatibility with the DS2400.
