The companion probe can easily detect the tone generator's signal. By connecting the signals of the Tone Generator to one side of the required testing network and by testing the other side with the Probe, we can quickly and conveniently determine whether the core-wires are on or off.

You can also use the generator to to check the telephone line polarity and status ie. Ring/Busy/Idle. Probe equipped with an insulated inductive pick-up to amplify the tone signal to an audible level. Includes an LED visual indicator. The probe also features volume control and you can turn off either indicator if desired.
