Description

This 160VA Toroidal Transformer is an industry standard, with a quality mode of ISO 9000. The industry has quickly recognised the advantages that toroidal provides in terms of size, weight, and lower radiated field.

Toroidal transformers popular due to their improved magnetic properties and the fact that they can be made with a lower profile than a standard solenoid core transformer. Thus allowing for lower profile equipment such as rack-mounted devices.

The toroidal (doughnut) shape has the advantage of minimizing the amount of magnetic flux that escapes outside the core (leakage flux), resulting in less electromagnetic interference (EMI) to nearby circuits or equipment. In today's low-power, high-frequency electronics, EMI is becoming increasingly important.

Note: TM7166 requires a 3A external AC fuse.
