Robox® is a high quality 3D printer designed and developed in the UK by CEL, aimed at the home, business and classroom. Over an 18 month developing period they have aimed to and succeeded in building in features to overcome problems identified by the design team in many of the current range of 3D printers available in the market.Some of these factors which have been overcome include; ‘blobbing’ or ‘stringing’ of excess material at the end of a section of print, the need to level the printing surface before every print, removal of guess work or inaccuracy when loading in new reels of filament, the ability to pause a print and then resume without affecting print quality and a number of other similar factors which can result in a lower quality print.
Thanks to these developments and an attention to detail, the Robox® is able to achieve an accuracy of down to 20 microns on its finest setting, the highest accuracy in a Fused Filament Fabrication 3D printer to date.The printer itself contains a large number of innovations, including the ability to pause and resume a print if filament run out or there is a feeding issue, a small probe and motor which will automatically level the build platform, a breezeless, enclosed temperature controlled build environment with a heated build platform and so much more.
The Single Material RBX1 3D Printer includes a dual nozzle extruder with 2 needle values, which allows switching between 2 nozzle sizes of 0.3mm and 0.8mm, for increasing printing speed and accuracy.
The Dual Material RBX02-V2 3D Printer uses a dual material head with two independently controlled 0.4mm nozzles, that can print with two different materials at once.
RBX1 can be upgraded to print with two materials with a CEL Robox Dual Material Kit Set.
