KIPPS APPARATUS 1000ML
The Kipps Apparatus has three main segments. The first and top segment is a thistle funnel and bulb structure through which diluted acid can be poured. This reacts with the metal sulphide in the base of the apparatus. The hydrogen sulphide gas evolved from this reaction collects in the middle of the dome from where it can be released through a leak-proof stopcock. The base is provided with a residual outlet which is capped for easy cleaning.
