Hydrogen Fuel Cell Cars
|KI9005||Horizon Hydrogen Fuel Cell Buggy Kit|
This kit will provide you with the hands on experience of how vehicles of the future may integrate this revolutionary and environment-friendly power technology. Using energy from a d.c. power pack or solar panel , allows the electrolyser to separate the water's most common elements, hydrogen and oxygen. These gases are stored by displacing water in the gas storage containers onboard the car. When an electric power unit, such as the car kit's intelligent motor is then attached to the fuel cell, the fuel cell converts the stored oxygen and hydrogen back into water, producing electricity in the process. Supplied in kit form a small amount of assembly is required. A supplied book gives comprehensive coverage of the the operation of the fuel cell.
This vehicle coming straight from the year 2099 is running on clean hydrogen fuel using a next generation reversible Polymer Electrolyte Membrane (PEM) fuel cell. Its new design offers a futuristic feel for what transportation could look like in the next decades.Watch as oxygen and hydrogen gases are formed in two transparent containers in the back of the vehicle. The kit's fuel cell unit combines water electrolysis and fuel cell functions into one device. The car steers independently of the user once it hits a barrier, and cool blue LED lights flash from inside the cockpit.
|KI9010||Horizon Fuel Cell Hydrogen Racer|
The H-racer is a micro-version of what engineers and scientists have been dreaming about for real cars: combining hydrogen with oxygen to generate a DC current to power an electric motor. Unlike a gas-powered car engine, the only byproducts are electricity and pure water. Horizon has created a unique, patented miniature fuel-cell car and hydrogen refueling station. The Refueling Station creates hydrogen by electrolysis using water, and once the car's hydrogen tank is full, the car can run on its own hydrogen fuel-cell system, with the simple flip of a switch.
|KI9012||Horizon Hydogen H2 Racer 2 - Remote Control|
Discover the automative technologies of the future by building and driving your own hydrogen fuel cell car. The H-racer 2.0 is the new generation H-racer, featuring a construction kit of the scale model car, as well as remote controlled steering, and light emitting features within the car. The car will run faster, and longer than the original H-racer, while still keeping its signature style. The H-racer received many awards including Time Magazine "Best Inventions", Business Week IDEA - silver award, Metropolitan Home "Design 100", ID magazine annual design review, and Business 2.0 Bottom Line Design Awards.
