The polycarbonate clear base enables the student to gain visual perception of the physical qualities of each component. The signal demodulator is designed to accept a signal direct from a photodiode, there are two photodiode bricks available in the wpk range 400nm-1100nm which covers the wavelengths within the visible light spectrum through to infrared. The other brick is suited to infrared only and has a built in light filter a that only passes infrared light. (750nm-1100nm) the demodulated output is 200mv audio signal suitable for feeding to the audio amplifier brick. The function of the demodulator is to remove the audio signal from the 32kHz carrier signal. 9VDC Required.
